Much delayed update!

Hello everyone!
First off, I would like to offer you all my apologies. The last couple of months have been a little bit rough on a personal level and while I have been working on developing the books, I haven't updated you as I've should. I'm sorry, that ends today and it won't happen again.
We've got a few things to talk about, so let's get to it!
Tutorial production (Volumes 2 and 3)
Most base tutorials for volumes 2 and 3 have already been produced by the respective artists, we are only missing 9 out of 48 and most of those are very advanced, only missing the write ups or a few details to wrap them up.
The extra pages stretch goals have turned into squad photos for most of the tutorials, as well as extra bits such as alternative weapons, faces, or extra details for almost every tutorial, and those bits are now in production by the respective artists, with many of them already completed. We are missing 22 out of 48 (including the 9 above) and I expect to receive most of those by early January.
Below you can see some of the results of tutorials I hadn't shown you here yet, a couple of which I've received very recently (top image is from Volume 2, bottom image is from Volume 3):
From left to right, top to bottom, painted by Natalia Oracz, Sergio Luque, Steve García, and Josh Harris
From top to bottom, painted by Don Suratos and Rodrigo H. Chacón
Tutorial layout
I'm workin on this as I receive more and more tutorials, so far I have completed 8 out of 48 but this is progressing adequately fast. I'll show you some a few samples on my next update!
Volume 1
I've taken some time with David Arroba and a few other folks to deeply reflect on the development of this book. We want to make it as accessible as possible for everyone, so we have decided to produce an introductory paint set to accompany the book, working together with one of the most prominent paint manufacturers (not ready to announce which one yet, as it's still not on paper, I hope I can tell you all very soon!) so we can provide you with the smoothest possible learning experience.
The tutorials in this book will be produced using those paints exclusively, and if you so choose you will be able to purchase the set and rest assured that you have everything you need to tackle the book without needing to run to the store or order additional paints as you go, while keeping it as affordable as possible. Don't worry though! If you prefer to use other paints, it will be easy enough to match the colours to other brands. You won't necessarily need the specific colours, it's just a way we've thought of to make the experience easier for folks with little to no experience on the subject.
Additionally, we are a little bit delayed with the development of the miniatures. They are already sculpted, but I've recently received the adjustments made by the factory to produce them in plastic and I don't like them, so I'm working with the guys over at the manufacturing company to make sure the final product is nothing short of amazing.
Since we will be using these miniatures and the paint set to produce the tutorials of this book, we haven't been able to start yet, but some of the theoretical chapters are already in the works by the master David Arroba, so we should be able to wrap it up quickly once we have all of the above ready.
Pledge manager
I've received suggestions to include a few things that may be useful for beginner to intermediate painters in the pledge manager, so I've worked out some deals with a few folks to offer you a couple of things you may want to get with your books. We'll have a pair of high quality brushes from Davinci, a larger set with the best selection of brushes for speedpainting by Artis Opus, and a wet palette from Mindwork Games, which we will be able to offer to everyone at advantageous prices I think. I hope we will be able to include the paint set for Volume 1 as well, but it depends on the timing by the paint company.
This will hopefully all be ready sometime in January, I'll keep you in the loop.
Fulfillment
I've had a few meetings already, some of them fairly promising, but I feel like there's still room for improvement and I could get more advantageous terms for you all. I will continue to work on this front and keep you updated!
And that's all for now!
Next week we will talk about the three tutorials you need to choose, one for each of the books, and I'll provide you with access to a form to get that going and once that's done I can send the info to each artist so they can get the ball rolling on that front.
Thank you so much for your incredible patience and support. Happy Holidays for you and your loved ones, and see you in the next update!
What an incredible finish to the campaign! Thank you so much!

The last couple of days have been absolutely crazy with new people coming to the campaign from every direction, so let's welcome everyone who has recently joined the campaign and do a quick recap what we have accomplished since the start!
So far, we have unlocked the following additional goals:
Free for everyone
One month subscription to the Grimdark Compendium by Kendon Oates, which will be delivered via a coupon code that you will be able to activate whenever you want after the campaign ends.
Volume 1
Spot UV printing for the cover.
One additional tutorial by the amazing David Arroba on a figure chosen by the community from our small range of three miniatures.
Volume 2
Spot UV printing for the cover.
One additional tutorial, again by David Arroba, on a figure chosen by the community from OPR's incredible range.
One additional tutorial by sculptor and painter extraordinaire Alex Muñoz on a Seraphon warrior.
One additional tutorial by the talented Josh Harris on an Age of Sigmar orruk, showcasing his signature magenta OSL.
Not unlocked yet but coming up very soon, one additional tutorial by my friend Jaime de Garnica teaching how to paint black and white, and sepia style figures similar to Zombicide: Night of the Living Dead.
8 extra pages to include additional tips and tricks in some of the tutorials, as well as include squad photos wherever they make sense to show how the figures from the tutorial will look like as a group.
Volume 3
Spot UV printing for the cover.
One additional tutorial by Kendon Oates on a figure chosen by the community from OPR's range.
One additional tutorial by Henry Steele from Cult of Paint on a terminator model showcasing his amazing oil filtering technique (see video below).
One additional tutorial by the legend Rodrigo H. Chacón on a Sylvaneth model, displaying different ways of incorporating visual and tactile textures on your models.
Not unlocked yet but coming up very soon, another tutorial by Rodrigo on the same subject, showing even more ways to make your models come to life through all kinds of textures.
8 extra pages with tips, tricks and squad photos.
The most ever funded miniature painting book campaign in Kickstarter, the original Minipedia by Scale75, reached 475k on their final day of the campaign. Do we dare to dream?
And last but not least, I'd like to show you a few mockups from some tutorials that I've been laying out over the last few weeks, I really hope you like how they are turning out! Please keep in mind these are not 100% final yet, they need small adjustments for printing, as well as filling out the colors in the little boxes, and a couple more details to be finished.

Thank you for your incredible support so far, I honestly can't wait to get these books ready for you and see the amazing projects you paint, be them your existing or new wargaming armies, your boardgames, or a collection of minis for a roleplaying campaign!

French edition, goals unlocked, and even more new goals!

First off, let's discuss some good news from all our French speaking backers.
I have carefully considered it and decided that we will 100% do the French translation, just like we are doing the Spanish translation, regardless of the amount of backers that we get. It simply makes sense to me to find ways to reward the amazing interest and support that you have all shown and I feel this is one of the things that I can do that is just right.
The minimum print run we need to do is 500 copies of each book, so there will be a lot of copies left unless we have quite a few more backers who want their copies in French, so I do have a favour to ask:
If you have any friends or colleagues who may be interested in getting these books in French, please share the campaign with them so we can avoid keeping a bunch of books gathering dust in a warehouse somewhere at some point down the line.
Now onwards to more content for everyone!
You have smashed through our last community goal, going almost 200 Instagram followers over the original target in just a couple of days. That's amazing and it means Kendon Oates from the Grimdark Compendium will be doing a tutorial on a figure from One Page Rules chosen by you!
We have unlocked another stretch goal that I was honestly super excited about, the first one is an extra tutorial for Volume 2 and another one for Volume 3.
First off, my friend Alejandro Muñoz will be doing a Kroxigor and some Seraphon warriors for Volume 2. He's better known for his outstanding talent as a digital sculptor (in fact, he sculpted Adama for this very project!), but he also happens to be one of the most talented army painters I know. You can see some of his work on his Instagram account right here, although you'll have to scroll through plenty of renders of his 3D sculpts first, among which you'll find some absolutely incredible pieces.
Next up, Henry Steele from Cult of Paint will be doing a Deathwing Terminator for Volume 3 using oil dot filtering. Whether you are already familiar with his subtle, realistic approach to 40k or you are finding about him just now, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one. I have come to know him as a really thoughtful painter who is never afraid of experimenting and trying new things, and has a way of explaining things that really resonates with me, so I truly hope you'll find this tutorial as educational as I've found the rest of his work.
At 350k we will unlock two additional, all new tutorials:
For Volume 2, the amazing Josh Harris, also known as orc.butt in social media, will be teaching us how to paint one of his signature magenta-lit, monochromatic Orruks; and for volume 3 the incredible Rodrigo H. Chacón will show how to incorporate visual and tactile textures into your miniatures using some Sylvaneth models perfectly suited for the task. Below you will find a sample of the kind of thing he aims to teach us, keep in mind that's not the actual model for the tutorial though, same as Josh's who will be painted another model following the same scheme.
I really hope we can reach this one, because I'm personally super excited to get to do the layout for these new tutorials and have a chance to try my hand at following them, I feel my own Chaos army would look killer in one of these schemes!
This would bring the total number of artists involved in the project to a whopping and absolutely insane 38 painters one of whom is also a sculptor, 2 sculptors, 3 character designers, 1 graphic designer, 1 video editor and myself coordinating the whole team to make sure we can all work towards the same goal, which is making the best possible painting books for everyone to enjoy!
Book content, new video out, goals unlocked, and now what?

Hi everyone!
What an incredible last couple of days! Lot's of progresss, and there's more to come! But let's not get ahead of ourselves: First off, we are super close to unlocking the third and final community goal. To get there we just need to reach 2500 Instagram followers, and we are only 112 short. Once we do, you will be able to choose the figure for a new tutorial for Volume 3. If you haven't already, you can follow the project on Instagram right here:
While you are at it, you can also participate in a giveaway from our amazing collaborator Moses Yao, who is giving away the figures he painted for the books. You can find the rules of the giveaway on this Instagram post.
And these are some of the cool models from Volume 2 I still hadn't shown you yet, including the very same figures from the giveaway in question:
From left to right, top to bottom, painted by Seyni N'Diaye (nebriuson), Jaime de Garnica, Moses Yao, and Antonio Pulvirenti (Olthar).
Additionally, I'd like to show you some very unique figures that will be featured in Volume 3 as well. The stormcast have been lightly weathered with enamels; the chaos warriors have been painted using a combination of graphite pencils, fluor pigments, and more; the Kratos tank features every technique you may need to properly weather a vehicle, and the orruk is painted using pigment powders from ground pastels no less!
From left to right, top to bottom, painted by Chris Keil (k03rnl), Diego Esteban (dieguetestudio), Rob Medwell (meddersminiatures), and Omar Melo (kingwulfen).
Last but not least, I'd like to feature a few of the creators who made some amazing videos about the project.
Zumikito has just released a video following Volume 2's tutorial by Javier García and Andrea Macías but painting 20 (yes, you read right, twenty!) Cities of Sigmar models instead of the Unmade, you can watch it here (don't forget to give him a like if you actually like it, it will help the project tremendously!):
Jay from Eons of Battle did something similar, painting an amazing Adeptus Arbites kill team following Will Hahn's space marine tutorial, you can find it here:
Alex from 52 Miniatures helps a friend who had never ever painted a miniature before paint her first mini following his tutorial with his typical calm, reflexive approach right here:
And last but not least, I wanted to include the video by Trovarion, which isn't directly related to a tutorial from the books, but it provides really interesting insights into why he joined our little project in the first place, and demonstrates his amazing depiction of incredible Warhammer artwork by Adrian Smith in miniature form. You should go watch it too!
And that's all for today!
...or is it?
There are more stretch goals coming. I may or may not have reached agreements with a couple more amazing collaborators and I can't wait to tell you all about it. But enough for today! Stay tuned during the next couple of days for more news on this regard!
