First off, I must be completely honest with all of you: Not even in my wildest dreams I imagined you will band together to support this project in the amazing way that you have. For that I have only two words:

Thank you

It truly means the world to me that each and every one of you decided to support the project in the way that you have, and I pledge to you that I will devote every last ounce of my energy and dedication to deliver the best books that I can possibly put together. You will probably read this a lot more times, I won't stop repeating it until you have your books at home.

Also, this is a great time to apologise to any of you that may have waited for a reply to a comment or message a little bit long. I have personally replied to each and everyone of you as honestly and thoughtfully as possible, but this takes a little bit of time in some cases. I am doing my best to keep up with all the comments, messages, and everything else here and on social media but please excuse me if sometimes I take a few hours to get back to you. I'm running the whole campaign on my own, and it gets a bit crazy at times!

French edition

As you may know, we are working with the outstanding Seyni N'Diaye and Clément Trincat to make two very cool tutorials, one on the Lord of Hubris for Volume 2 by Seyni and one on a battered Star Wars AT-ST for Volume 3 by Seyni.

You may not know they work at Wargame Spirit Studio though. We are partnering with them to make the French edition a reality, and their amazing contribution will lower the amount of French backers required from 400 to 350. Additionally, I will personally assume an extra risk and lower it even further to account for French speaking backers from other countries, down to 250 backers from France to unlock the translation. As you can see in the community tab right here, we are steadily approaching the halfway point so I'm confident we will hit the target before the campaign is over!

Community goals

We have met our first two community goals, and we are very close to meeting the third. What this means is that we have some extra tutorials for the books, which is awesome, and you will get to pick which figures we use after the campaign is over, which is even more awesome if you ask me!

The extra tutorial for Volume 1 will be on one of our figures, and you will get to decide which one we use. It will be done by my dear friend and amazingly talented painter David Arroba, who was the first painter to join me in this quest to make great painting books and will showcase the highest quality paintjob we will feature in Volume 1. Our idea is that it will serve as an inspirational piece that you can slowly work towards by following all the other tutorials and advice in the book.

For Volumes 2 and 3, we have a collaboration with the guys from One Page Rules. As the name suggests, they make wargames with rules that fit in only one page, and more importantly they have an amazing catalog with an incredible amount of figures that they publish monthly through Patreon.

The extra tutorial for Volume 2 will also be done by David Arroba (he's truly one of a kind. You may think I am a little bit biased because he's my friend, but the judges at Golden Demon shared my opinion and awarded him gold. Twice!)

Last but not least, the extra tutorial for Volume 3 will be done by none other than Kendon Oates from the Grimdark Compendium, and will serve as a nice and easy introduction to the style in case you are not familiar with it, as well as a way of warming up for his four other tutorials featured in the same book which go a lot more in depth into different techniques and materials to get your minis looking amazing. Just in case you are not familiar with his work, here are a couple of his pieces:

This one is not unlocked yet though, although we are very close! To unlock it, we need to reach 2500 followers in the project's Instagram account:

You can find it here, we are only missing 259 followers right now so I think this one will be unlocked really fast!

Click to visit our Instagram and help unlock the goal!

And now what?

I have a few things prepared to make the books even better. Check out the new stretch goals to see what cool additions I am already making to the books, and some of what lies ahead. I hope you are as excited as I am for these!
